Lwemisege Turning Into a Model Primary School

Pupils of Lwemisege Primary School

During KZP’s baseline survey of Kifamba sub county, 54% of the children were primary going, 9% secondary going as well as children at home totalled to 242 which is 37%. Reasons for such numbers of children not going to school range from lack of school fees and other school facilities to prejudices held by society against education. In her work plan,

KZP intends to tremendously reduce the number of children not going to school by availing uncoarsive measures to both parents and children to change their negative attitude towards education and to also show them that education is an investment that takes a lot of sacrifice yet it rewards enormously.

To provide a more practical approach to realising this goal, KZP, chose Lwemisege P/S as her model school in Kifamba Sub County. KZP, therefore tends to set a challenge for other schools. Her goal is that children should begin at an early stage to appreciate education and therefore enhancing the urge to continue to secondary and proceed to higher institutions of learning.

KZP tends to set the ball rolling in Lweisege primary school by extending all her programmes to this school. These programmes will include:

KZP Agricultural Programme
In this programme improved seeds varieties will be provided for Lwemisege P/S demonstration gardens for purposes of availing pupils with food and providing them with practical lesson in agriculture to help in their daily and future farming lives.

KZP Education and Training Programme

This includes networking with Nabbunga Fountain of Education P/s in providing academic/educational programme to Lwemisege P/S. It will involve forming a drama group, encouraging scouting and guiding, encouraging and providing facilities for sports and other extra-curriculum activities and urging the government to consider Lwemisegs for more Educational projects.

With the above and other programs that will follow, KZP intends to uplift the standard of education. KZP will not stop at primary level, she is considering a secondary school that is going to be a model school in Kifamba. With a strong pillar built in education and other programme of KZp, the new generation will be a generation of adults seeking for self actualization rather than wallowing in the effects of poverty and ignorance. Hard Work, commitment and cooperation are the call of KZP in her quest to transform society.
